Special stamp issue on 25 November 2025

POST Philately will release new stamps on 25 November 2025. Discover them now.

End-of-year celebrations

Created by British artist Ben Carter, the new stamps of the end-of-year celebrations series combine elegance and balance while reflecting the festive atmosphere of local Christmas markets. By highlighting iconic motifs from the Christmas markets in Luxembourg City and Esch-sur-Alzette, the artist showcases the unique charm of the pre-holiday season.
With every letter bearing these stamps, a touch of Luxembourg’s Christmas spirit is spread around the world.

100 Years of PIAC

In 1925, the Pontificio Istituto di Archeologia Cristiana (Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology), abbreviated as PIAC, was founded in Rome by Luxembourgish priest and scientist Jean-Pierre Kirsch.
The centenary of the institute is the perfect occasion for a joint stamp issue. POST Philately and the Vatican Post will jointly release the same design, depicting Jean-Pierre Kirsch in front of the PIAC façade.

Charity Series – Orchids in Luxembourg-4

Launched in 2022, the “Orchids in Luxembourg” series is coming to an end this year. The final motifs, photographed by Luxembourgish photographer Marianne Majerus, feature a wide variety of specimens: broad-leaved helleborine, common twayblade, heath spotted-orchid and dark-red helleborine.

Postocollants – The stained glass windows of the Grand Ducal Palace

The Grand Ducal Palace has been the official residence of the Grand Duke for over a century. In the mid-18th century, an annex was added to the original building: the current Salle de Balance.
The highlight of this room is the artistic stained glass windows designed by Luxembourgish artist Ad Deville (1935–2022), which impress with their rich colours, attention to detail and symbolic representation of the Grand Duchy’s dynastic history.

These stamps will be available from 25 November 2025 in every Espace POST and post office, at the Philatelic Counter and on the POST Philately e-shop.
