Soirée du Timbre 2025
On 23 October 2025, POST Luxembourg hosted its traditional “Soirée du Timbre”. In the presence of Claude Wiseler, President of the Chamber of Deputies, members of the Board of Directors and the management of POST Luxembourg, artists, partners, and philatelists, POST looked back on the stamp issues of 2025 and presented the 2026 stamp issue program.
Presentation of souvenir frames
This philatelic event was also an opportunity to present commemorative frames to POST Philately partners: Reza Kianpour, graphic designer, Robert L. Philippart, UNESCO Site Manager, and Maria-Elysa Galichon, administratrice indépendante / Déléguée à la gestion journalière de l'Hôtel des Postes Luxembourg, each received a souvenir frame from Isabelle Faber, directrice Ressources humaines, Relations publiques & RSE at POST Luxembourg, for the creation of the stamp “SEPAC 2025 – Architecture”. A souvenir frame was also presented to Jeannot Piron and Gisèle Lunkwig-Gauche, respectively President and Secretary of the Cercle Philatélique Rodange, as part of the “Journée du Timbre” which took place on 25 October 2025.
Schéinsten Timber 2024
In addition, the winning stamps of the “Schéinsten Timber 2024” contest were revealed. As in the previous year, the Luxembourg crypto stamp, featuring a dragon in 2024, once again captivated the public and was voted the most beautiful stamp of 2024.
Second and third places were awarded to a stamp from the booklet “Young Mammals in Luxembourg,” depicting wild kittens, and to the Christmas stamp dedicated to the story of the “American St. Nick,” respectively.
