On 9 May 2025, to mark the 75
th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, Claude Strasser, Managing director of POST Luxembourg, formally presented souvenir frames featuring the
special stamp issued by POST Philately to the highest representatives of the European Union. This presentation, honouring the legacy of Robert Schuman, took place at his birthplace in Clausen (Luxembourg City), in the presence of Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, António Costa, President of the European Council, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Luc Frieden, Prime Minister of Luxembourg.
Alongside Claude Strasser, Isabelle Faber,
Directrice Ressources humaines, RP & RSE of POST, also took part in this official visit, which highlighted the importance of philately as a vehicle for historical memory and European unity.
Following the official ceremony, the general public was invited to explore the exhibition “Hommage philatélique à Robert Schuman,” which traces the political journey of one of the founding fathers of the European Union through Luxembourgish postage stamps.
