POST Luxembourg on the podium of the UPU “World’s Best Stamp” competition
POST Luxembourg won third place in the “World’s Best Stamp 2025” competition, organised by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), in the category of the most innovative stamps.
This distinction recognises the originality of the embroidered stamp “Deluxe – Coat of arms”, issued in 2025 to mark the 25th anniversary of the accession to the throne of HRH Grand Duke Henri: a finely embroidered stamp depicting the small coat of arms of HRH Grand Duke Henri, adorned with crystals of Austrian origin.
Organised for the first time in 2026 under the patronage of the World Association for the Development of Philately (WADP), this international competition invited postal operators from around the world to compete in five categories highlighting innovation, craftsmanship and philatelic excellence. An international jury composed of academics, graphic designers, philatelists and members of the WADP reviewed the submissions and determined the winners in each category.
