Street Art creation competition for an upcoming stamp issue
In collaboration with the City of Ettelbruck, POST Luxembourg is launching a creative competition to determine the designs for the future Luxembourg EUROPA stamps, scheduled to be issued on 4 May 2027.
The competition is open to all Street Artists with a connection to Luxembourg (nationality, place of residence or professional activity). Participants are invited to submit an original and previously unpublished creation illustrating their personal interpretation of the theme “Luxembourg, my homeland”, reflecting their own connection to Luxembourg.
The EUROPA series consists of two stamps. Following the competition, a national jury made up of representatives from POST Luxembourg and the City of Ettelbruck will select two winning artworks, each of which will serve as the design for one of the two stamps.
Artistic projects must be submitted no later than 30 November 2026, in accordance with the conditions set out in the competition rules.
Creation of mural artworks
Beyond their adaptation into stamps, the two winning artworks will be reproduced on a large scale on walls made available by the City of Ettelbruck, offering the artists the opportunity to create a genuine Street Art piece.
About EUROPA stamps
EUROPA stamps are issued by European postal operators and bear the official EUROPA logo, a registered trademark under the auspices of PostEurop A.I.S.B.L., with Europe as their central theme.
Highlighting cooperation in the postal sector while promoting philately, these special stamps also raise awareness of Europe’s shared roots, culture and history, as well as its common goals.
As such, EUROPA stamp issues are among the most collected and most popular stamps in the world.
