Description

Under the open sky

LUGA (Luxembourg Urban Garden) is an open-air exhibition that will be taking place in Luxembourg from 7 May to 18 October 2025, featuring urban gardens, landscape and artistic installations, agricultural projects and living spaces designed by local and international landscape architects, artists and experts.

The exhibition – whose motto is “Making the invisible visible” – invites visitors to explore new paths, and in doing so, discover the natural and historical treasures that characterise our cities but often go unnoticed. The issues and areas that LUGA would like to cover are broad and diverse, and include: environment, agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, food, biodiversity, urban ecology, cultural heritage, art, culture, well-being, sustainable development, circular economy, social inclusion, technological innovation and sustainable tourism.

The exhibition spans several prominent locations in Luxembourg City, including the Edouard André Municipal Park, the Pétrusse valley, the Alzette valley and the Kirchberg district, in addition to the town of Ettelbruck in the Nordstad region.

Over 1,000 events are planned over a sixmonth period, including lectures, creative workshops, guided tours, sporting activities and artistic performances. Organised for the first time in Luxembourg, LUGA sees itself as an open-air laboratory of ideas, a platform for interaction and experimentation where every visitor can contribute to a collective reflection on the future of our cities.
