Stamp Day
In 2026, the Cercle Philatélique de la Vallée de l’Eisch will celebrate its 70th anniversary and organise the traditional Stamp Day in Kleinbettingen. The stamp issued for the occasion features the water tower on the Bechel. Built in 1953, it has a capacity of 265 m³ and supplied the entire municipality of Steinfort with water until the 1990s. Growing water demand made the construction of a new water tower with a larger capacity necessary.
New building of the Luxembourg National Archives in Esch-Belval
The Luxembourg National Archives are responsible for collecting, preserving, cataloguing and making available documents of historical, scientific, economic, societal and cultural interest.
The new building in Esch-Belval offers a functional and efficient infrastructure tailored to the organisation’s current and future needs. At the same time, its location close to the University of Luxembourg and its research centres encourages direct scientific synergies.
Wäinhaus in Ehnen
The Wäinhaus, prominently located on the Wäistrooss in Ehnen, is one of the most outstanding attractions of the Moselle region. At the heart of the restored and modernised building, visitors can enjoy an immersive journey through the wine-cultural landscape, modern wine production, and the history, culture and lifestyle of the Moselle region.
The offer is complemented by a spacious wine shop, a media library, documentation areas, an educational vineyard, a newly redesigned inner courtyard and a bistro.
SEPAC – Iconic landmarks: Adolphe Bridge
The Adolphe Bridge in Luxembourg City is a powerful symbol of the capital’s technological and urban transformation. Built between 1900 and 1903, the bridge now embodies a link between past and future: a monument to engineering that continually reinvents itself and is integrated into sustainable and multimodal urban development.
The 50th edition of the Vollekslaf Walfer
The Vollekslaf Walfer is one of Luxembourg’s best-known running events. First organised in 1975, the race now appeals to both amateur runners and ambitious athletes through several competitions (kid’s run, competitions for wheelchair athletes, etc.). Since 2011, the main route has been 12 km long.
These stamps will be available from 15 September 2026 in every Espace POST and post office, at the Philatelic Counter and on the POST Philately e-shop.
