In this series of Christmas stamps for 2016, POST Philately wanted to go back to its roots and bring back some traditional motifs for the festive season and particularly for Christmas. The style of the stamps created by Lydie Develter is much like children’s book illustrations as they concentrate on St Nicholas.
After studying Graphic Arts at the Institut St-Luc in Liège, Lydie Develter created cartoon characters for some Luxemburgish newspapers and magazines. She adapted some fairy tales in Luxemburgish, amongst others the tales of the Grimm Brothers.
