The 2017-2018 school year marks the 125th anniversary of the Lycée de Garçons in Luxembourg. It traces its origins back to the mid-19th century when Luxembourg saw the advent, alongside outdated agriculture and crafts, of new industries and financial institutions. Therefore, it was useful to set up a new school that could train engineers and accountants.
During these 125 years, the Lycée de Garçons has spanned over three centuries and two world wars, taking on secondary, technical and commercial education, classical education and university courses.
